We have received decision from USCIS that our National Interest Waiver (I-140 Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker) has been approved. Great feeling, we would wish all of you guys such a huge relief!
We are still not at the end of this journey – just submitted our I-485 petitions for Adjustment of Status.
This means that we started to prepare our NIW Do It Yourself kit and hopefully will release it soon. We plan to launch it with special 20 percent discount and lowest price on the market with NIW DIY packages. This offer will be valid only first week after launch so don’t miss it if you are interested. You can subscribe to our newsletter at upper right corner of this page to be informed if you already didn’t do it.
National Interest Waiver DIY sample kit will contain not only all documents we submitted in two steps (I-140 and I-485 for both of us) but also exclusive material which will not be released on the blog such as full length templates of recommendation letters, petition letter etc. ready-to-use (Word files) so you can start to work on your petition immediately without worrying about document styles, copying or rewriting the texts from pdf files.
Moreover, we will continue to publish new articles here on the blog – these will be as always free of charge. There is still a lot of information which we want to write about and which can be valuable for you. We want to analyze our NIW case in details – describe weaknesses and sufficient credentials for success. You can also expect next posts about how to organize many documents in petition in order to be effective, what should be included in I-485 petition (documents checklist) and a lot more.
Thanks for reading our NIW blog and stay tuned!

Congratulations!
First of all thank you for all these great posts – they are very helpful!
In your posts on this website you write “we”. Does that mean you filed jointly (since you are married) or did you make separate applications? My husband and I are currently working on getting all the letters etc ready to file a NIW petition for my husband. But can we file jointly or would his petition have to be approved first and then I’d apply for a green card later through him?

Anette,
thank you very much! I think you are in similar situation like me (wife). I worked on my husband’s case – studied everything I could, wrote this blog, prepared letters (we did this together) but it was all about preparation of his NIW case, not mine.
So first of all we filled I-140 only for him (but I was mentioned in the form as a wife who will apply for GC later) – this was ONE petition. Then after approval of my husband’s I-140 we filled I-485 + EADs for me and for him (TWO petitions in one package). I was also mentioned as a spouse in his I-485 and I mentioned him as my spouse in my I-485 so it is clear that we filled together. We both added his I-140 approval notice to each petition.
Another way is to submit all three petitions together (concurrent filling) – it should be faster but you risk losing money in case of denial I-140.
Hope it helps, good luck to you guys!
